Of course, the biggest real world lesson of undergrad physics labs is how to intuit the right amount of experimental noise/variability when you fabricate data (a true art, as any accountant or tax attorney knows too well).
Those with a gift of intuiting "real" fake data from the ether, move on to success and management. Those that don't, end up hating their new bosses...
